Congratulations! You’ve decided to get more information about writing. There is no doubt that you've made a wise choice to educate yourself. If you're a beginner, there is an awful lot to learn. But, if you’re really serious about realizing your dreams, more than likely you already possess the determination needed to unravel the mystery of self-publication. There is lots of information available regarding how to get your book published. My favorite is Dan Poynter's Self-Publishing Manual which is updated annually. Without question, I have found it to be the most comprehensive compilation of helpful information. While I will post similar information on this blog, that is NOT its purpose.
As a woman whose passion is encouraging, challenging and inspiring others from the wellspring of my intense love for Christ, I aim to use my gifts of writing, speaking, teaching and singing to that end. That having been said, I have chosen to use this blog for the purpose of speaking directly to the heart of the Christian writer.
I Corinthians 14:26b says, “Let all things be done unto edifying.” Those of us who would seek to build up the Body of Christ through our writing, need to consider the motivation behind why we desire to take our work from manuscript to marketplace. That's why I will be writing specifically to those who long to make an impact upon the world for Christ, through their writing. These writers don't deny their aspirations include achieving "Best Seller" status, but they understand the value of "fruit that remains."
Whether you're a novice or a seasoned writer, I invite you to join me as I encourage, challenge and inspire you to consider why and for Whom you write.
